Interior Lakes Fly Fishing Report

A very good option for May – June. We have spent about 2 weeks on these lakes this May and were blown away by some very impressive fly fishing for Rainbow Trout in the 18 to 24 inch range. A load of fun on 4 & 5 weight fly rods! Chironomids in sizes 10 – 16 are the mainstay. Use chromies in various colours. But when they aren’t biting chromies try dull dark colours.

We do provide single day trips or multi day fly fishing packages to some very productive lakes just 3 hrs from Vancouver. If you go without a guide be well stocked with midges in all colours in sizes 8 to 16. Other flies to keep in your box include Damsels, Dragons, May flies, micro leeches, bead head wooly buggers in black, green, brown and maroon.
