Tofino Halibut and Lingcod Holding Well

Out of Tofino harbour the halibut bite has been very consistent this week. Fishing the 200-280 ft depths along the shelf has produced solid keepers in the 25-40 lb range with one larger fish over 60 lb.
Lingcod action was a bonus — picked up a couple in the 15-20 lb class on the same drift. Squid and herring baits both worked.
Winds were manageable in the morning but picked up significantly by 2 PM, so plan an early start.
